Hey!
My non-business emails have been stacking up and I just got around to reading one from LaSalle Bank/marathon update from 6/7. I thought this quote was worth repeating:
Hal Higdon, author of, Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide, did a Q&A on the web page:
Q:What is the one piece of advice you would offer to a first-time runner?
A:Choose a finishing goal significantly slower than your ability would seem to indicate . That ensures you will a finish. After that first race, you can work on improving your finishing time.

Hey!
I took the picture with my compact digital camera. It takes pretty good pictures. Clark got his new camera yesterday. He was so excited.
Have a good week. See you at the next "short" run. I will be running with you guys!

And it assures that you won't be disappointed in your time if you don't meet an unrealistic goal!
Boy, that is perfect advice. So we will say 8 hours and then we will make it in 7 !! Call me if you want to run Thursday. We could start at 6:30 rather than 7 Pm if you are game. Suzanne
